ENCATC UNESCO DIRECTORY: getting more and more worldwide!!

In cooperation with the Observatory of Cultural policy in Africa (http://www.ocpanet.org ) and with the financial support of UNESCO, ENCATC is developing since last July a regional directory of African training centres and institutions existing throughout the continent in the field of cultural policy, administration and management as well as cultural development. The objective of this project is to collect the information existing in this field and make accessible on-line, free of charge. The results of the inquiry will be posted on the ENCATC/UNESCO Directory web page (http://www.encatc.org/directory/ ) by the end of 2007 together with a new updated list of training programmes in Latino America and Caribbean Area. In 2008 ENCATC will develop a new regional directory of training centres and institutions existing throughout in the field of cultural policy, administration and management in America, Canada and Asia. It was in 2003 that ENCATC started for the first time to map centres and institutions providing education and training for cultural development personnel, in particular in cultural policies, management, administration, animation and entrepreneurship across Europe, Russian Federation and Caucasus.
