Lots of activities are being prepared to take place during the year of Intercultural Dialogue which was declared by the European Union for 2008 - http://ec.europa.eu/culture/eac/dialogue/dialogue_en.html To co-finance a limited number of significant actions on a European scale, the European Commission has published an open call for actions that may consist of specific events and activities which will raise awareness of the objectives of the European Year. Moreover they should underline the meaning and importance of intercultural dialogue, illustrating various areas, methods, and dimensions of intercultural dialogue in the European Union in a manner which is visible and attractive in particular, but not exclusively, to young people.The projects are aimed at promoting intercultural dialogue, involving dircetly or otherwise reaching as many people as possible and highlighting achievements and experiences on the theme. This grant, which may cover up to 80% of total costs, will be awareded to approximately 8 - 10 projects.
