Managing Diversity? The ECF explores facets of diversity in cultural work

As part of its Diversity Focus, the ECF has for a year now been conducting a process of internal and external reflection of the way in which cultural organizations deal with diversity in and through their work. This reflection went into the making a best-practice book Managing Diversity? that we want to share with other cultural organisations dealing with similar questions.

DEMOS research Video Republic online now

Have the children of Europe established their own Video Republic - one that rewrites the rules of political participation and media mechanisms? As part of our StrangerFestival we commissioned the renowned think-tank DEMOS (UK) to research young people's video culture. It gives a revelatory insight into what is going on in the virtual world and how this relates to our and your work - in the worlds of culture, media and politics. Rainbow Paper: endorse online cultural policy recommendations

Sophia Labadi Winner CPRAward 2008

This years winner of the ECF supported Cultural Policy Research Award (CPRA) 2008 is Sophia Labadi. Her award winning research project Measuring the socio-economic impact of regenerated heritage sites characterised by a high degree of cultural diversity was selected by an European jury as the best proposal in terms of cultural policy knowledge and academic writing
